Every child's journey is different, and so too are the ways in which they access The Space Between. We work with families, schools, local authorities, and other professionals to find the most appropriate pathway for each child.

Our services may be accessed through a range of funding routes, including:

  • Schools

  • Local Authorities

  • EHCPs and personal budgets

  • Private arrangements

  • With or without professional referrals

  • Schools may choose to commission personalised programmes that complement a pupil's existing education, or provide an alternative approach where additional support is required. We work collaboratively with schools to design flexible, individualised pathways that reflect each child's strengths, needs, and aspirations.

    All our staff hold enhanced DBS certificates and have completed a minimum Level 2 Safeguarding qualification.

  • We welcome enquiries from Local Authorities seeking personalised educational pathways for children and young people with complex or individual needs. We are committed to working collaboratively with professionals to develop thoughtful, child-centred provision that supports positive long-term outcomes.

  • Many families explore Personal Budgets or other EHCP funding arrangements as a way of accessing personalised support. We are happy to discuss whether this may be an appropriate pathway and, where appropriate, provide information to support funding applications and decision-making.

  • Families are welcome to access our services directly through privately funded arrangements. We recognise that every family's circumstances are different, and are happy to discuss a personalised starting point that reflects your child's individual needs and aspirations. Children do not need to have a formal diagnosis or a professional referral to become a part of The Space Between community.
